Prices are stable in the Romanian seamless pipe market, while demand from both local and foreign buyers for industrial and line seamless pipes remains weak due to sluggish economic activity. Meanwhile, import quotations of seamless pipes from the Czech Republic have increased by €20-30/mt ($26-40/mt) over the past month. Most market participants believe that domestic and overseas demand for Romanian seamless pipes will remain on the weak side in the coming month, whereas suppliers are expected to manage to keep their prices from falling.
Romanian domestic quotations of 1/2"-10" seamless pipes made to ASTM or EN are at about €1,000-1,150/mt ($1,320-1,518/mt) delivered, excluding 24 percent VAT.
Export offers of 3"-10" seamless pipes of grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L are being given by ArcelorMittal Roman to the external markets at around €1,000-1,020/mt ($1,320-1,346/mt) FCA, 12"-16" seamless pipes are quoted at €1,025-1,125/mt ($1,353-1,485/mt) FCA, while 18"-20" pipes are at about €1,300/mt ($1,716/mt) FCA.
Import offers of 3"-10" seamless pipes from the Czech Republic (ArcelorMittal) of grade B as per ASTM A106 are being given to the Romanian market at €1,020-1,050/mt ($1,346-1,386/mt) CPT.
