Despite a lack of seasonal improvement in demand in the Romanian seamless pipe market, local suppliers have increased their quotations amid rising raw material costs. Over the past month, domestic and export prices of Romanian seamless pipes have increased by €5-20/mt ($6-22/mt). Seamless pipe prices in Romania may continue to rise slightly in the coming months on the back of higher production costs. Market players report that stronger export demand will provide support for higher prices.

Romanian domestic quotations of 3"-10" seamless pipes made to ASTM or EN are at about €870-900/mt ($966-999/mt) delivered, excluding 24 percent VAT.

Export offers of 3"-10" seamless pipes of grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L are being given by ArcelorMittal Roman to the external markets at around €900-920/mt ($999-1,021/mt) FCA, while 14" pipes are at levels of €950-970/mt ($1,055-1,077/mt) FCA.

Import offers of 3"-4" seamless pipes from the Czech Republic (ArcelorMittal) of grade B as per ASTM A106 are being given to the Romanian market at €910-930/mt ($1,010-1,032/mt) CPT.
