Local Chinese steel pipe prices stable or down slightly

Local Chinese steel pipe prices have either moved sideways or softened slightly during the past week.

Local Chinese seamless pipe prices have mostly followed a stable trend during the past seven days. Overall trading activity has been at normal levels. Prices of billet and other raw materials have just indicated minor fluctuations and so seamless pipe traders have mostly chosen to keep their quoted prices stable. As for the week ahead, it is believed that seamless pipe prices may indicate small fluctuations.

Local Chinese welded pipe prices have indicated a slightly soft trend during the past week. Overall trading activity has remained at normal levels. Upstream steel strip prices have just fluctuated by small margins. In order to close more deals, most traders have decided to reduce their quoted prices slightly. As for the week ahead, it is believed that welded pipe prices may just indicate slight changes.
