Local Chinese steel pipe prices have continued to follow a mostly stable trend during the past week.

Local Chinese seamless pipe prices have moved sideways during the past week, with overall trading activity close to zero ahead of the Chinese New Year holiday which is due to start next week. As for the week ahead, it is believed that seamless pipe prices will move sideways again.

Chinese domestic welded pipe prices have followed a mostly stable trend during the past week, with trading activity very weak due to the proximity of the holiday. Prices of steel strip and other raw materials have rebounded slightly, causing a few welded pipe traders to raise their prices by small margins. As for the week ahead, it is believed that welded pipe prices will follow a stable trend.
