Local Chinese steel pipe prices have followed a slightly soft trend during the past week.
Chinese domestic seamless pipe prices have mostly indicated minor downticks during the past seven days. Overall trading activity has been at a very low level during and after the holiday. While billet prices have been mainly stable, most traders have chosen to reduce their quoted prices a little after the holiday to attract demand. As for the week ahead, it is believed that seamless pipe prices will fluctuate by small margins.
Local Chinese welded pipe prices have softened slightly during the past week, amid minor decreases seen in steel strip prices. Overall trading activity for welded pipes has been weak. As for the week ahead, considering that the demand side may see a recovery, it is thought that welded pipe prices may just fluctuate slightly.
