The local Chinese steel pipe prices have moved up slightly during past week.

Chinese seamless pipe prices have slightly moved up during the past week. Overall trading activity has been weak. Upstream billet prices have increased, causing traders to follow suit. As for the week ahead, it is believed that seamless pipe prices may remain mostly stable.

Chinese welded pipe prices have indicated an upward trend during past week. Overall trading activity has been weak amid offseason. Upstream steel strip and other raw material prices have followed an uptrend, exerting positive impact on welded pipe prices. But since demand has remained weak, the increase margin has been relatively smaller. As for the week ahead, it is believed that welded pipe prices may fluctuate with slight upticks.
