The seamless pipe market in Germany is gradually starting to show signs of a recovery after the end of summer holidays. However, German producers are in no hurry to increase their offers seeing still sluggish buying activity in the domestic market. Both domestic and export prices for German seamless pipes have been stable over the past month. At the same time, import prices of Chinese material have increased by a maximum of €10/mt ($13/mt). Market participants expect seamless pipe prices to move up in Germany in the coming month due to higher raw material costs and improving demand.
German 2"-6" seamless pipes of grade S355 made to EN 10210 are being given to local buyers at around €880-900/mt ($1,170-1,197/mt) delivered, while pipes of grade B as per ASTM A106 are at about €950-970/mt ($1,263-1,290/mt) delivered.
