Demand for seamless pipes remains rather weak in Germany in view of the holiday season. Domestic and export prices of German seamless pipes have remained unchanged month on month amid poor demand from all sales markets. Over the past month, quotations of Italian and Romanian seamless pipes for the German market have also remained unchanged. At the same time, import prices of Chinese material have increased by €20-30/mt ($26-40/mt). Market players believe German seamless pipe suppliers may try to raise their offers in the coming period due to the expected improvement in buying activity after the summer.

German 2"-6" seamless pipes of grade S355 made to EN 10210 are being given to local buyers at around €880-900/mt ($1,161-1,188/mt) delivered.
Export offers of 2"-6" seamless pipes of grade S355 made to EN 10210 are being given by German producers at around €900-920/mt ($1,188-1,214/mt) FCA.

Export quotations of German 2"-6" seamless pipes of grade B as per ASTM A106 are in the range of €970-1,000/mt ($1,280-1,320/mt) FCA on theoretical weight basis.

Prices for Chinese seamless pipes 2"-6" grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L are at about €640-690/mt ($844-911/mt) CFR Germany, exclusive of antidumping duties.

Romanian 4"-6" seamless pipes made to EN 10210 of steel grade S355J2H are being offered to the German market at about €930-950/mt ($1,228-1,254/mt) CPT.

Prices for Italian seamless pipes 2"-5" grade B made to ASTM A106 are at about €1,040-1,090/mt ($1,373-1,439/mt) CPT.
