During the given week, steel pipe prices have moved sideways amid better demand. The rising iron ore prices bolstered steel pipe prices to some extent. At the same time, rebar futures prices have edged up, also positively affecting steel pipe market. It is thought that steel pipe prices in the Chinese domestic market may edge up slightly in the coming week.
Rebar futures prices at Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) stand at RMB 5,236/mt ($809.3/mt) on August 25, up RMB 92/mt ($14.2/mt) or 1.8 percent from August 18.
