During the given week, demand for steel pipe has been quite good, bolstering prices. However, buyers have been unwilling to accept the current high levels of prices, which has exerted a negative impact on the steel pipe market. Ferrous metal futures prices have indicated downward corrections in the given week, negatively affecting steel pipe prices. It is thought that the decent demand in April will continue to provide solid support for the steel pipe market in the coming week.
Rebar futures prices at Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) stand at RMB 5,116/mt ($783/mt) on April 14, down RMB 1/mt ($0.15/mt) or 0.02 percent from April 7.
