During the week ending July 10, average Chinese steel pipe export offer prices have moved on a stable trend. At present, export offers for API 5L seamless pipe given by Chinese suppliers are in the range of $635-725/mt FOB, while export offers for API 5L welded pipe given by Chinese suppliers are at $570-580/mt FOB.
During the given week, market participants have been pessimistic as regards the future prospects for the steel pipe market due to the slack demand during the traditional offseason. It is thought that steel pipe prices from China will edge down in the coming week.
