At present, export offers for welded pipe given by Chinese suppliers are in the range of $830-850/mt FOB, moving down by $10/mt compared to April 6, while export offers for API 5L seamless pipe given by Chinese suppliers are at $870-900/mt FOB, June shipment, edging down by $10/mt compared to April 6.

However, traders have been seeking to bolster their prices as transportation has been limited. It is thought that steel pipe prices may fluctuate within a limited range in the coming week.
Rebar futures prices at Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) stand at RMB 4,915/mt ($771/mt) on April 13, down by RMB 206/mt ($32.3/mt) or 4.02 percent compared to April 6, while down by 0.81 percent compared to the previous trading day, April 12.
