The local Chinese steel pipe prices have indicated a mostly stable with slightly reduced trend during the past week.

Chinese seamless pipe prices have maintained a mostly stable trend during the past week. Overall trading activity has been weak amid off-season and rainy weather. Upstream billet prices recently showed a slight uptrend but traders are mostly under pressure of funding at the end of the month and not willing to increase their prices. Market inventory has increased which also gives certain pressure to seamless pipe prices. For the week ahead, it is believed that seamless pipe market prices may follow a slightly reduce trend.

Chinese welded pipe prices have indicated a slight decline during the past week. Overall trading activity has been weak. Upstream steel strip and other raw material prices first reduced before rebounding trend. At the end of the month, traders chose to reduce prices to close more deals. For the week ahead, it is believed that welded pipe prices may continue a slightly reduce trend again.
