On October 2, SteelOrbis reported high-carbon ferromanganese at $1,505-1,570/mt in-warehouse Pittsburgh.

According to sources, the price range this week has widened on both sides of the previous range to $1,490-$1,575/mt in-warehouse Pittsburgh with active fourth quarter material acquisitions by mills. The price declined $15/mt from the bottom of the previous range and $5/mt from the top of the same range. The lower end of the range was attributed to initially aggressive offers by traders. The source noted that, despite the wider range, strong sales have been reported at the $1,550/mt level this week.
