On September 11, SteelOrbis reported domestic ferromanganese (78 percent manganese, 7.5 percent carbon) at $1,505-1,575/mt in-warehouse Pittsburgh, with sources reporting tight supply and limited trading.

According to sources, spot prices in the US domestic market for ferromanganese are presently at $1,505-1,570/mt in-warehouse Pittsburgh. This range represents a decline of $5/mt from the top of the previously reported range. A source informed SteelOrbis that prices in mid-September reached $1,525-1,570/mt in-warehouse Pittsburgh, an increase of $20/mt from the bottom of the previously reported range earlier in the month, but prices began correcting by month’s end with deals widening the lower end of the range.
