On September 26, SteelOrbis reported high-carbon ferrochrome (6-8 percent carbon, 60-65 percent chromium, and maximum 2 percent silicon) trading at $3,152-3,306/mt in-warehouse Pittsburgh.

According to sources, the present spot market price for ferrochrome is $3,128-3,195/mt in-warehouse Pittsburgh. This updated range reflects a decrease of $24/mt from the bottom of the previously reported range and $111/mt from the top of the same range. A source attributed the price decline to lower nickel prices.
