Scrap prices in Taiwan

According to market sources, domestic scrap prices in Taiwan are currently at NTD 7,300-7,400/mt ($235-238/mt) delivered, while they are expected to fall further in the coming days.
 
On the other hand, a Taiwanese steel producer concluded an ex-US deal on February 6 for containerized HMS I/II 80:20 scrap at $235-237/mt CFR CY. Although market sources report that ex-US scrap offers to Taiwan are at $235/mt CFR CY today, February 7, Taiwanese buyers' price ideas for the same product are heard to be at $231-233/mt CFR CY.
