According to market sources, ex-US containerized HMS I/II 80:20 scrap offers to Taiwan are currently at $265/mt CFR CY, while Japanese containerized H1/H2 50:50 scrap offers to Taiwan are now at $300/mt CFR CY. SteelOrbis has been informed that Taiwanese buyers’ price ideas for import scrap are at $260-261/mt CFR, and so they consider these offers from US and Japanese suppliers to be on the high side.
