Local market sources report that domestic scrap prices in western India (Alang) have increased by INR 700/mt over the past week to INR 18,200/mt ($268/mt) ex-yard, while prices in northern India (Mandi Govindgarh) have moved up by INR 700/mt over the same period to INR 18,700/mt ($275/mt) ex-yard.
Meanwhile, ex-Europe HMS I/II 80:20 scrap prices for India have increased by $10/mt week on week to $270/mt CFR.
