According to the price list dated April 25, 2014, Turkish steel producer Kardemir has announced its basic pig iron and hematite pig iron prices for local sales.
Accordingly, the producer's local sales price of H1 is standing at $505/mt + VAT, while its H2 price is at $495/mt + VAT. Meanwhile, Kardemir's local sales price of C1 is at $455/mt + VAT, while its C2 price is standing at $440/mt + VAT. The producer's pig iron prices have remained stable compared to its price list issued on April 18, when the mill had increased its prices by $20/mt as compared to its previous sales prices.
In the meantime, pig iron prices in the CIS market are trending sideways as well.
