India’s KIOCL seeks 100,000 mt of domestic iron ore fines for pellet plant

India’s state-run KIOCL Limited is seeking supplies of 100,000 mt of iron ore fines from domestic sources to be procured through competitive bidding for its raw material pellet plant in Mangalore in the southern state of Karnataka, sources said on Tuesday, September 19.

Local mine owners, traders and stockists are eligible to submit bids for the supply subject to the condition that they have successfully supplied at least 50,000 mt of fines in the previous three fiscal years. The last date for submission of bids has been set for October 10.
