On October 2, SteelOrbis reported Indian domestic silicomanganese offer prices up at INR 71,000-72,500/mt ($971-991/mt) ex-works Raipur and INR 70,100-71,500/mt ($959-978/mt) ex-works Durgapur.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that silicomanganese prices have continued the upward trend. Silicomanganese offer prices are now reportedly at INR 73,000-73,500/mt ($987-994/mt) ex-works Raipur and INR 73,000-74,000/mt ($987-1,001/mt) ex-works Durgapur. Raipur prices increased $16/mt from the bottom of the previous range and $3/mt from the top of the same range. Durgapur prices increased $28/mt from the bottom of the previous range and increased $23/mt from the top of the same range. The increase in prices is attributed to higher manganese ore prices. The demand in both the domestic market and Indian export market for the product is reportedly moderate.
