On August 24, SteelOrbis reported that ex-India ferrochrome offers to China slipped down to $1,695-1,730/mt CIF China. Sources now report to SteelOrbis that ex-India ferrochrome offers to China are now reportedly at $1,650-1,715/mt CIF China, down $45/mt from the bottom of the previous range and $15/mt from the top of the same range.
Prices are reportedly rising in the Indian domestic market which may buoy prices to the export market. Additionally, the export market may still remain attractive despite the lower prices as the INR has depreciated against the dollar over the course of the past week.
