On January 4, SteelOrbis reported Indian pellet export offer prices were reportedly at $102-105/mt FOB India as Chinese inquiries increased upon return from the New Year holiday.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that deals were reportedly at $110-112/mt CFR China for regular grade pellet with 3 percent alumina which translates to approximately $102-104/mt FOB. A source noted an expectation of CFR deal prices increasing $1-3/mt over the upcoming week, although he added that prices run the risk of remaining sideways as domestic pellet prices are reportedly under pressure as several large miners have announced price cuts on iron ore fines in the domestic market for January.

Indian pellet export offers are reportedly at $105-109/mt FOB, up $3/mt from the bottom of the previous range and $4/mt from the top of the same range.
