India’s NMDC sees 3.8% rise in iron ore sales in April-December 2019

Indian state-run iron ore miner NMDC Limited has reported cumulative iron ore sales of 23.03 million mt during the April-December period of 2019, up 3.8 percent over the corresponding period of the previous year, according to a company regulatory filing on Thursday, January 1.

NMDC recorded a marginal increase in production of 0.7 percent in the April-December period of 2019 to 22.01 million mt, the company statement said.

The company’s mines in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh contributed 17 million mt in sales of iron ore, while its mines in the southern state of Karnataka recorded sales of 5.73 million mt.
