According to market sources, ex-CIS pig iron offers to the export markets, which were in the range of $325-340/mt FOB two weeks ago, have decreased by $50/mt on the lower end and declined by $15/mt on the upper end, due to the downtrend of billet prices in the global markets this week. Meanwhile, market sources state that Ukrainian pig iron producer Donetsksteel is pushing to conclude sales at $330/mt FOB, but this price level has failed to gain acceptance in the export markets.
