On October 31, SteelOrbis reported offers for PHCC (premium hard coking coal) from Australia to India at $217.75-218.50/mt FOB while HCC offers were reportedly at $193-194/mt FOB. PHCC prices had reportedly ticked down while HCC prices had increased.

According to sources close to SteelOrbis, coking coal offers are now down slightly to $217-218/mt FOB while HCC has ticked up to $194/mt FOB. The PHCC prices reportedly translate to approximately $231-233/mt CFR while HCC prices are estimated at $207-209/mt CFR. The relatively stable price level with only slight fluctuations is reportedly attributed to slow trading activity in the market-setting Chinese market.
