On July 11, SteelOrbis reported ex-India ferrochrome offers to China down at $1,860-1,890/mt CIF China. Sources inform SteelOrbis that ferrochrome offer prices are now trending wide at $1,860-1,917/mt CIF China, up $27/mt on the top end of the range as sellers are making efforts at increasing offers to the Chinese market. A source added that Baosteel, for example, increased ferrochrome purchase prices in July, compared to May and June, within the Chinese domestic market.
