Ex-CIS pig iron prices follow stable trend

Tuesday, 02 May 2017 16:04:58 (GMT+3)   |   Istanbul
Demand for ex-CIS pig iron in the export markets has remained weak over the past three weeks, since buyers have been postponing their purchases given the downtrend of global iron ore prices. However, due to the sluggishness of trading activity, the CIS-based pig iron suppliers have opted to observe the market instead of revising their prices downwards.

Accordingly, ex-CIS pig iron prices are currently at $330-350/mt FOB, remaining unchanged compared to three weeks ago.
