Following a number of deals for ex-CIS and ex-Brazil basic pig iron (BPI) closed to China and reported by SteelOrbis earlier this week, new transactions were disclosed to the market. An ex-Brazil seller has managed to increase the sales price for pig iron with 0.15 phosphorus content by $10/mt.

By the end of current week, one of Brazilian suppliers managed to sell 60,000 mt of BPI at $310/mt FOB which is equivalent to $340/mt CFR. The material will be shipped in September. The previous cargo of the same origin was traded earlier this week at $300/mt FOB or $332/mt CFR.

In addition, another 50,000 mt sale, done from Brazil to China at the beginning of the week at $295/mt FOB, has been recently disclosed to the market.
