SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have risen by 200 NTD/mt ($7/mt) over the past week to NTD 8,700-9,400/mt ($292-315/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have decreased by NTD 500/mt ($17/mt) over the past week to NTD 31,500-34,000/mt ($1,052-1,135/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for early July shipments.
