SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have increased by NTD 200/mt ($6/mt) over the past week to NTD 9,900-10,600/mt ($311-333/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have remained unchanged over the past week at NTD 36,500-39,000/mt ($1,147-1,226/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for shipments in mid-to-late May.
