SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have increased by NTD 300/mt ($9/mt) over the past week to NTD 10,200-10,900/mt ($323-345/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have risen by NTD 2,000/mt ($63/mt) over the past week to NTD 38,500-41,000/mt ($1,219-1,298/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for shipments in late May.
