SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have remained unchanged over the past week at NTD 10,200-10,900/mt ($325-347/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have risen by NTD 500/mt ($16/mt) over the past week to NTD 40,000-42,500/mt ($1,274-1,354/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for shipments in early-to-mid June.
