SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have dropped by NTD 300/mt ($10/mt) over the past week to NTD 8,300-9,000/mt ($275-298/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have decreased by NTD 1,000/mt ($33/mt) over the past week to NTD 33,000-35,500/mt ($1,093-1,159/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for early-to-mid June shipments.
