SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have increased by NTD 200/mt ($6/mt) over the past week to NTD 9,500-10,200/mt ($297-319/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have remained stable over the past week at NTD 36,000-38,500/mt ($1,127-1,205/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for early-to-mid May shipments.
