Carbon and stainless scrap prices in Taiwanese domestic market - week 12, 2026

SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have increased by NTD 200/mt ($6/mt) over the past week to NTD 9,300-10,000/mt ($292-314/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.

In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have remained stable over the past week at NTD 36,000-38,500/mt ($1,131-1,209/mt) ex-yard.

The above prices include five percent VAT and are for early May shipments.
