Carbon and stainless scrap prices in Taiwanese domestic market - week 9, 2026

SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have increased by NTD 200/mt ($6/mt) over the past week to NTD 8,900-9,600/mt ($285-307/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.

In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have risen by NTD 1,000/mt ($32/mt) over the past week to NTD 36,000-38,500/mt ($1,152-1,232/mt) ex-yard.

The above prices include five percent VAT and are for early April shipments.
