SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have dropped by NTD 300/mt ($10/mt) over the past week to NTD 8,600-9,300/mt ($281-304/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have remained stable over the past week at NTD 34,000-36,500/mt ($1,111-1,192/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for early June shipments.
