Carbon and stainless scrap prices in Taiwanese domestic market - week 16, 2025

SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have decreased by NTD 500/mt ($15/mt) over the past week to NTD 8,900-9,600/mt ($274-295/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.

In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have remained stable over the past week at NTD 34,000-36,500/mt ($1,046-1,123/mt) ex-yard.

The above prices include five percent VAT and are for late May shipments.
