SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have decreased by INR 300/mt ($10/mt) over the past week to NTD 12,000-12,700/mt ($428-453/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have increased by INR 500/mt ($178/mt) over the past week to NTD 47,500-50,000/mt ($1,695-1,784/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for middle/end August shipments.
