Carbon and stainless scrap prices in Taiwanese domestic market - week 5, 2026

SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have increased by NTD 200/mt ($6/mt) over the past week to NTD 8,700-9,400/mt ($277-300/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.

In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have risen by NTD 1,500/mt ($48/mt) over the past week to NTD 35,500-38,000/mt ($1,131-1,211/mt) ex-yard.

The above prices include five percent VAT and are for late February shipments.
