SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have remained unchanged over the past week at NTD 8,700-9,400/mt ($275-297/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have dropped by NTD 500/mt ($16/mt) over the past week to NTD 35,000-37,500/mt ($1,105-1,184/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for early March shipments.
