SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have increased by NTD 200/mt ($6/mt) over the past week to NTD 8,500-9,200/mt ($269-292/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have remained unchanged over the past week at NTD 31,500-34,000/mt ($998-1,078/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for early February shipments.
