BPI prices rise in India

In the Indian domestic market basic pig iron (BPI) prices, which have shown an increase of INR 1,500/mt ($31/mt) as compared to last week, are this week standing at the level of INR 17,000/mt ($347/mt) ex-works, excluding excise duty of 8.24 percent and four percent VAT.

Meanwhile, an Indian producer's BPI export tender which was realized in the last week of August was accepted at the level of $336/mt FOB India.
