Over the past two weeks, Turkish merchant bar producers have mostly remained stable in the local currency, with a decrease of $4-5/mt on US dollar basis, except in the Karabuk region where local merchant bar prices have fallen by TRY 75/mt ($7/mt) amid sluggish demand and the ongoing currency fluctuations. One Iskenderun-based mill has issued its equal angle price at TRY 23,500/mt ($598/mt) ex-works today, June 12.
Most merchant bar sellers are offering either for deliveries in late June-July or from stocks, depending on the size.
