Turkish mill Kardemir’s billet prices

Turkish steel producer Kardemir has revised its domestic billet sales as per its new price list dated today, January 15, having previously opened its domestic billet sales on January 4.

Accordingly, Kardemir has opened its sales for 150 mm x 150 mm S235JR grade billets at the level of TRY 2,265/mt ($416/mt) ex-works, excluding VAT, and has also opened its sales for MT III-A grade billets at TRY 2,295/mt ($421/mt) ex-works, excluding VAT, with 25 percent on cash payment basis and with 25 percent each on 30-day, 60-day and 90-day deferred payment basis, and with no interest accruing due to payment deferral.

Compared to the previous price list, the producer has decreased its billet prices by TRY 45/mt on Turkish lira basis, though prices on US dollar basis have moved down by $8-9/mt due to the fluctuation of the exchange rate.
