Turkish merchant bar export prices rise further

Over the past week, most Turkish merchant bar re-rollers have raised their official equal angle export prices by $10/mt to $610-630/mt FOB, for June shipment, amid higher import scrap prices and the recent increase in Kardemir's local billet prices. Most international buyers are taking their time before concluding new purchases and demand may gain momentum by June as the new EU quota period will begin on July 1.

The SteelOrbis Turkish import billet daily reference price stands at $460-480/mt CFR, stable over the past week.

Product Price ($/mt)
Angle 610-630
IPN-UPN 620-640
Flat bar 640-660
IPE 620-640

All prices are on FOB basis for June shipment.
