Today, September 17, Turkish integrated mill Kardemir has kept its wire rod prices unchanged as compared to its prices issued on Thursday, September 4, against the backdrop of the ongoing currency fluctuations. According to sources, the mill has succeeded in selling around 5,000 mt of wire rod so far, though the final tonnage has not been confirmed by the time of publication.
Accordingly, Kardemir’s price for 5.5 mm SAE 1008-1010 grade wire rod stands at $570/mt ex-works, while its 6-27 mm wire rod of the same steel grade is offered at $555/mt ex-works. In addition, 28-56 mm wire rod of the same steel grade is offered at $575/mt ex-works.
The wire rod prices exclude 20 percent VAT.
