Scrap price trend likely to shape CIS billet export offers

According to market sources, ex-CIS billet offers have remained stable since last week at $505-510/mt FOB, while sales for August rolling are about to be completed. Meanwhile, CIS billet deals have been concluded in the Middle East and North Africa in the range of $510/mt FOB in the past week, while the latest ex-CIS deal in Turkey has been concluded at $520-530/mt CFR.

On the other hand, if the global scrap price trend continues to move upward, CIS billet export offers for September will likely indicate increases.
